About Us

C-E-U.com was founded by brothers Shae and Scott Strachan, who bring together decades of complementary expertise to serve the caregiving community. Born from a shared commitment to elevating the standards of home care, the company combines Scott's deep operational knowledge of nurse registries and caregiver compliance with Shae's two decades of experience in digital technology and business automation. Together, they've built C-E-U.com to be more than a training platform — it's a practical resource designed to help caregivers, registries, and home care operations navigate education requirements, stay compliant, and run more efficiently. Their mission is straightforward: empower the people and businesses who care for others with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to do it well.

Scott Strachan

Scott Strachan RN, BSN is a registered nurse, healthcare entrepreneur, educator, and nurse registry operator with over 20 years of experience across clinical nursing, home care, caregiver education, and healthcare operations. He is the owner and administrator of Abby Services, a Florida state-licensed nurse registry serving seniors and families throughout Southwest Florida since 1997.

Scott began his healthcare career working directly as a caregiver while attending Penn State University, where he helped care for a retired professor living with ALS while earning his degree. During school breaks, he returned home to Florida and worked as a CNA caregiver through Abby Services, the same nurse registry business he now owns and operates. These early experiences gave him firsthand exposure to the realities of caregiving, aging, chronic illness, disability, family support, and in-home care.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Scott gained broad clinical experience in acute care, post-acute care, long-term care, and community-based care settings. His nursing background includes work on specialized hospital units, as a travel nurse, and as part of intra-hospital float pool teams, where adaptability, clinical judgment, communication, and patient safety were essential. His clinical experience includes intensive care, medical intensive care, surgical intensive care, cardiovascular intensive care, neuro intensive care, coronary care, medical-surgical nursing, hematology/oncology, orthopedic care, cardiac rehabilitation, hospice, senior living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities.

Scott’s clinical experience spans multiple states, disciplines, and hospital systems, including Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Tampa General Hospital, Phoenix Memorial Hospital, Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, Broward General Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and other acute care and post-acute care settings. His work across varied hospital systems and care environments strengthened his ability to adapt to different clinical teams, documentation systems, patient populations, acuity levels, and organizational expectations.

This diverse clinical background gave Scott practical experience caring for patients across a wide range of acuity levels, diagnoses, functional limitations, and care environments. His experience includes supporting patients and families during acute illness, recovery, chronic disease management, end-of-life care, rehabilitation, dementia-related decline, mobility challenges, and transitions between care settings. This broad perspective helps him develop education that connects clinical principles with the real-world needs of caregivers, CNAs, home care professionals, and healthcare support staff.

His professional background also includes extensive experience in caregiver education, home care operations, client care coordination, compliance, and healthcare training within the nurse registry and in-home care environment. Through years of working in home care and caregiver education, Scott has developed practical expertise in caregiver training, safety, dementia care, infection prevention, transfers, documentation, professional boundaries, client communication, and home care best practices.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and maintains an active, current registered nurse license in good standing without disciplinary action. In addition to his clinical and operational experience, he has developed and instructed continuing education content focused on caregivers, CNAs, home care professionals, nurses, and healthcare support staff.

Scott has also been an active member of the Private Care Association of Florida, serving on the Board of Directors for multiple years and currently serving as Vice President. He has hosted numerous educational webinars for PCA members and has spoken on multiple occasions at PCA national conferences on topics related to nurse registry operations, caregiver education, compliance, independent contractor registry operations, and home care best practices.

In addition to owning and operating Abby Services, Scott is the founder of C-E-U.com, MyHealthForm.com, and NurseRegistryConsultant.com. Through NurseRegistryConsultant.com, he provides practical consulting and operational guidance to individuals and organizations seeking to understand Florida nurse registry licensure, AHCA survey readiness, policy and procedure development, independent contractor registry operations, caregiver onboarding systems, documentation practices, and day-to-day registry management. His consulting work is informed by direct experience operating a licensed nurse registry, developing caregiver education, responding to regulatory expectations, and supporting registry operators through real-world operational challenges.

Through C-E-U.com, Scott focuses on developing fast, affordable, and practical continuing education designed for real-world application in home care, community-based care, and healthcare support settings. His courses are informed by his combined background as a caregiver, registered nurse, clinical float and travel nurse, nurse registry administrator, educator, consultant, and healthcare business owner.
